Born in Berlin in November, 1962, I grew up in France and returned to live in Germany in 1980.
Even back in school days, I liked to draw but rarely ever painted at that time.....
The intensity of my creative output only increased in recent years. As a hobbyist, I took lessons and started experimenting with different materials and techniques before finally settling on acrylic painting.
My pictures are painted on artist’s board and canvas. To protect the finished works from the corrosive effect of light (UV) radiation as well as other potentially damaging circumstances, I treat them with a protective layer of varnish. All pictures are painted from side to side, allowing for the pictures to be presented without a frame.
The images you can find on my website may differ considerably in tone and colour from the original pictures, which is due to the limited capabilities of digital photography. The appearance of the original colours is usually a lot richer, more brilliant and saturated when compared to the photographs, making the overall effect all the more impressive.
